Seaton Mote
Seaton Mote is in Staithes, up on the North Yorkshire coast. It's part of Seaton Hall. The place sleeps ten, with five bedrooms and five bathrooms. It has a 4 Star rating.
The main thing is the space. Having a bathroom for each bedroom is useful for a big group. The living room and kitchen are a comfortable size, but they're not huge. It feels right for about eight people, even though you can have ten.
There's a cafe run by the owners on the estate, about 100 yards away. A shop is half a mile, and the local pub is about 0.7 miles.
Staithes itself is a proper old fishing village, very picturesque. Whitby is about twenty minutes by car. It's got the Abbey, the cobbled streets, boat trips and that sort of thing. The North York Moors National Park is right on the doorstep. You can pick up the Cleveland Way coastal path nearby for walking.
Runswick Bay and Robin Hood's Bay are both within half an hour. Saltburn, with its pier, is about twenty-five minutes drive. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway steam train is about a thirty minute drive to Pickering.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, WiFi, a cot and highchair if you need them, bedding and towels are included, and there's on-site parking. Please note, there are open, steep, spiral or narrow stairs in the property.
