Holme Crest
Holme Crest is in Staithes. It's a terrace cottage on the Cleveland Way path, about a hundred yards from the harbour. The building is from the 1890s, used to be a fisherman's place. We gave it a proper update a few years back.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, and one bathroom. It has a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean but not luxurious. The stairs are cottage stairs, so they're steep and a bit tight.
You're right on the Cleveland Way, so you can step out the door and walk. The coastal views from the cliffs here are very good, all the way to Whitby. The beach and harbour are a two minute walk down the hill. It's a steep hill back up, just so you know.
There are a couple of pubs and a restaurant about a hundred yards away. The village shop is a few minutes walk. Runswick Bay and Robin Hood's Bay are a short drive away. Whitby is about twenty minutes by car, Scarborough and Filey are a bit further, maybe forty minutes.
For facilities, it has a woodburning stove, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. There's no garden, but you're so close to everything it doesn't really matter. Sorry, no pets.
