Highfields
Highfields is in Runswick Bay, right on the edge. The main thing is the view out the back. The lawn faces the sea and there's a deck you can sit on. You can see the whole bay from there. Glass doors go from the deck into the living room, so you get the view from inside too. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. One bedroom is downstairs, the other three are up. There's a lift to the first floor, which is handy if stairs are a problem.
The kitchen has what you need. Dishwasher, washing machine, that sort of thing. There's parking for two cars on the drive. The garden is enclosed, which is good for dogs. You can bring two.
You're right on the Cleveland Way path. It runs along the cliff top. The village has a couple of pubs and a café, all a few minutes walk. To get down to the beach, you go down a steep path. It's a proper old fishing village, with houses tucked into the cliff. The beach is sand and is dog friendly all year.
You can walk north to Staithes, or south to Sandsend and Whitby. Whitby is about a fifteen minute drive. It's got the abbey, the pier, lots of history. The English Heritage site for Whitby Abbey has the details if you want to plan a visit. Robin Hood's Bay is a bit further, maybe twenty five minutes. The steam railway from Whitby goes inland.

Inside, it's a 4 Star place. That means it's well finished, comfortable. Bedding and towels are included. There's WiFi and a TV.
