Sunnydene

Sunnydene is in Staithes. It's up the hill from the harbour, on the main lane. You can park up near the village entrance, then it's a short walk down.

It's an end-terrace cottage that sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. The rating is 4 Star, which means it's been renovated well. It's a solid, comfortable place.

You enter straight into the main living area. There's an open fire. The kitchen is small but has everything you need. The window looks out to sea.

Upstairs, there's a twin bedroom and a bathroom with a shower over the bath. The main double bedroom is on the top floor. Both bedrooms have sea views.

Staithes itself is a proper old fishing village. The harbour is sandy at low tide. The North York Moors National Park is right on the doorstep. The Cleveland Way path runs along the cliffs here, so the walking is excellent. You can walk to Runswick Bay.

Whitby is about 15 minutes' drive. Saltburn is about 20 minutes the other way. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway is easily reached from Grosmont.

Facilities: there's WiFi, a TV, an open fire. Bedding and towels are included. Electricity is part of the price. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
