Sunnydene

Sunnydene is in Staithes, just up from the harbour. It's a two-up two-down cottage. When the tide's out there's a bit of sand in the bay, when it's in the water comes right up to the wall. The stairs inside are quite steep.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's been done up nicely. There's an open fire in the living room. The kitchen is small but it has everything you need, and you can see the sea from the window. Both bedrooms have sea views.

You can bring one dog. There's a TV and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. The electricity is part of the price.

Staithes itself is a proper old fishing village. It's very picturesque. There's a free museum and an art gallery. The Cleveland Way footpath goes right past on the cliffs. You can walk to Runswick Bay or Robin Hood's Bay from there.

Whitby is about 15 minutes drive. You've got the abbey, boat trips, and the old town. Saltburn is about 20 minutes the other way, it's good for surfing. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway is roughly half an hour's drive for a steam train trip.

If you're planning to explore the area, the North York Moors National Park website has good information.
