Seaton Court is one of five cottages at a place on the edge of Staithes. The main estate has been rebuilt over the last twenty years or so. The cottage itself is in that rebuilt hall, so it's got old stonework and big beams, but everything inside is new.
It sleeps six people. There are three bedrooms and three bathrooms, which is handy. One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor. One of the twin rooms upstairs can be made into a double if you ask beforehand. It's got a 4 Star rating.
You've got your own patio out the back. The kitchen is open plan with the living room. There's a utility room for boots and coats. The stairs are standard.
Staithes is a proper old fishing village, about a ten minute walk downhill. The Cleveland Way path runs right past the estate, so you can walk along the cliffs to places like Runswick Bay. The beach at Staithes is about a mile away.
Whitby is about a twenty minute drive. You've got the abbey, boat trips, and the usual seaside stuff. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway at Grosmont is about half an hour away. Saltburn, with its pier, is about twenty minutes in the other direction.
On site, there's a cafe and an antiques barn. The local pub is a few minutes walk away. They allow one dog.
In terms of what's there: a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, WiFi, parking. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
