Rockpool Cottage is in Cowbar, which is the bit of Staithes on the harbour side. The front looks south directly at the sea. You can see the whole bay from the living room and the main bedroom.
It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating. The parking is a big deal, as you get space for two cars right at the cottage. That's unusual here.
The cottage is old but it's been refurbished. The stairs are steep, which is normal for here. If you have small children, there's a stairgate and a cot available.
You're about a minute's walk from the harbour bridge. The village has cobbled streets, a few good pubs that do food, some tea rooms, and art galleries. The beach is right there for rock pooling. The Cleveland Way path runs along the cliff top.
Whitby is about a twenty minute drive up the coast. It's got the Abbey, the Dracula connections, and the famous fish and chips. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway runs from Pickering to Whitby, which is a nice trip.
For facilities, you've got a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. It's a no pets property.
