Stoney Cottage is in Loftus, North Yorkshire. It's on a quiet side road with a little stream running past the front.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with both a bath and a separate shower cubicle. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's well looked after and comfortable.
The cottage used to be the village lemonade factory back in the 1800s. It's built from the local golden sandstone. Inside, it's spacious. The living room has a high electric wood burner and a big beam over the fireplace. The TV is in a wooden cabinet you open up. The kitchen has a table with a bench and an island.
Upstairs, both bedrooms have TVs. The mattresses and bedding are good quality. The stairs are normal, not especially steep.
Loftus is a small town. It has a shop, a bakery, a cafe, some pubs and takeaways. For a beach, Cattersty Sands in Skinningrove is about a 30-minute walk away. It's a good, often quiet, sandy beach.
You're right on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. The Cleveland Way trail goes through here too, connecting the coast and the moors.
Staithes, with its harbour, is less than five miles away. Saltburn-by-the-Sea, Runswick Bay, Sandsend and Whitby are all within a 30-minute drive along the coast. There's a bus from Loftus that goes up and down the coast if you don't want to drive.
For facilities, it has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There are two parking spaces, but they're just over the road on the other side of the stream. It's less than a minute's walk to get to them. No pets.
