Monty House
Monty House is in Saltburn, on a quiet street about a fifteen minute walk from the cliff top. From there you can either take the footpath or the tram down to the beach. It's a terraced house, Victorian I think.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one with a shower on the ground floor and one with a bath upstairs. The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable and well looked after.
The front room is a living room with an open fire and a big bay window. At the back, the kitchen and dining area are open plan. There's a second raised sitting area there too, with a games console. The garden out the back is enclosed but small. There's a lockable outside store, which is handy for surfboards or bikes.
Upstairs, the main bedroom is a king size with a day bed, so it's flexible if you've got a small child. The second bedroom has twin beds that can be joined into a super king. The third room has a triple bunk bed.
In Saltburn, the beach is the main thing. It's a long, sandy beach. There's a surf school and you can hire paddleboards. The pier is good for a walk. There are a few places to eat and drink along the front.
For walking, the Cleveland Way runs along the clifftops. You can walk to places like Staithes or Runswick Bay from there. Whitby is about a twenty minute drive. The North York Moors are about the same distance inland if you fancy a change from the coast.
What's here: dishwasher, washing machine, TV, wifi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a highchair. One well-behaved dog is allowed. There's parking on the street outside.
