The Miners Cottage is in Loftus. It's an old miner's cottage on a hill, about a ten minute walk down to the beach at Skinningrove.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The bathroom has an electric shower in a corner cubicle.
The living space is open plan. The kitchen is fine for cooking a meal. There's a breakfast bar with a view over the fields. Outside is a small, enclosed courtyard with seating.
The main bedroom has a view of the sea. The second bedroom has twin beds.
Loftus itself is a small market town. There's a shop, a pub, and a restaurant about a mile away. For a bigger beach, Saltburn-by-the-Sea is a short drive. It's a Victorian town with a pier, a cliff lift, and a long beach. The North York Moors National Park starts very close by.
If you drive for about half an hour, you can get to Whitby. That's where the Abbey is, and the famous fish and chips. Staithes is closer, maybe ten or fifteen minutes. It's a small fishing village with cobbled streets and a few pubs.
The Cleveland Way walking path runs along the coast nearby.
What's here: WiFi, TV, washing machine, cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. There is parking. No pets, sorry.
If you're planning to walk the coast path or explore the moors, the Cleveland Way National Trail site has good information.
