Lane End Cottage
This is Lane End Cottage. It's in Upleatham, about a mile inland from Saltburn-by-the-Sea. It's a converted barn, detached, on our farm here.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. It has a five star rating, which mainly means it's well finished and has everything. It's open plan downstairs. There's a woodburning stove. The stairs up to the bedrooms are quite steep.
You're welcome to bring one dog. There are chickens and ducks around the yard, and sheep in the field next door.
Outside, there's a small private courtyard right outside the back door. You can also use a second seating area across the farmyard. That one is shared with us, but it has the better view out over the valley.
The local pub is about half a mile away. It's a proper walkable distance. Saltburn is just over a mile down the road. It's got a good beach, the cliff lift, and some decent places to eat. The golf course is about 500 yards from the cottage.
If you want to explore, Staithes and Whitby are about twenty minutes up the coast. The North York Moors start just south of us. For walking information, the North York Moors National Park site is useful. The North York Moors Railway is about a thirty minute drive.
Facilities are all there: parking, WiFi, Smart TV, bedding and towels included. There's a bath in one bathroom and a double shower cubicle in the other.
