Bute Cottage is in Redcar, on the seafront. It’s a detached cottage. You can see the sea from the front window.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, with zip-link beds in one of them, and one shower room. It’s a 4 Star property. The whole place is on the ground floor, but there are a couple of steps inside between the kitchen, living room, and bedrooms.
The cottage has a wood burner. There’s a glass panel in the hall floor where you can see the old well underneath. The beam over the stove is from a ship’s mast.
Outside, there’s an enclosed patio at the back with a hot tub. There’s a heated outdoor shower for washing dogs or sandy feet. You can store bikes or surfboards there. It has one parking space.
The beach is right there. It’s dog friendly. There are shops, pubs, and cafes within a couple of minutes’ walk. Redcar has the usual arcades and things you’d expect at the seaside.
You’re on the Cleveland Way for walking. You can head south towards Saltburn or north to places like Staithes and Whitby. The North York Moors National Park is about a ten minute drive inland.
Facilities: TV, WiFi, washing machine, bedding and towels included. Up to two dogs are welcome.
