Bute Cottage
Bute Cottage is in Redcar. It's a detached cottage, right on the front. The sea is across the road.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. One bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. The place is all on the ground floor but there are a couple of steps inside between rooms.
The living room looks straight out to the sea through big windows. There's a wood burner for cooler days. The beam above it is an old ship's mast. In the hallway, there's a section of glass floor where you can see the old well underneath the cottage.
There's a small enclosed patio out the back with a hot tub. You can store bikes or surfboards there. We've also put in an outdoor shower, which is useful for washing dogs or sandy feet.
You can bring one dog. The beach across the road is dog friendly. Shops, pubs, and cafes are a couple of minutes' walk away.
For walking, you're on the Cleveland Way. It connects along the coast to places like Saltburn and Whitby. The North York Moors National Park is about a ten minute drive inland.
Facilities: there's parking for one car, a washing machine, WiFi, and towels and bedding are included.
