The Granary is on a farm in Lingdale in North Yorkshire. It used to be a barn. It's a 4 Star place, which is good. It’s not huge, but it’s comfortable.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one double and one with two single beds. One bathroom. The stairs are a bit steep, you need to be careful.
Downstairs it's all one open room. There's a decent kitchen area, then a sofa and TV. Everything's included: towels, bedding, washing machine, wi-fi. There's parking right outside and an electric car charger.
Outside, there's a private patio with a table and a barbecue. It gets the sun in the evening. You look out over the fields. The kids' play area is across the yard. The whole site is enclosed, so dogs and children can't wander off. There's a dedicated path for walking dogs around the fields.
This is next to another cottage called The Stables. There's a connecting door between them, which can be unlocked if you're booking both together for a bigger group. If not, it stays locked.
Location wise, you're a few miles back from the coast. Saltburn-by-the-Sea is about ten minutes drive. It's got that pier and a cliff lift. Staithes is about twenty minutes the other way, that's a nice old fishing village.
You're right on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. You can drive into the moors in ten minutes. For the coast, Whitby is half an hour, Runswick Bay and Sandsend about twenty minutes.
The facilities list says local fishing is available. There's sea fishing from the piers and marks along the coast. A highchair and cot are here if you need them.
You can bring up to two dogs. It's a good spot for them with the field walks right here.
