Grosmont Apartment
This is Grosmont Apartment, in Commondale. It's in the North York Moors. The building used to be a school. It's red brick. There are four flats in the place now, this one is on the first floor.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one en-suite shower room. It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's clean and everything works, but it's not a luxury hotel. You get the basics done well.
The living area is open plan. There's a table by the window where you can sit and look out over the village and the moors. The sofa faces an electric fire. The kitchen has what you need.
The bedroom is a good size. Big built-in wardrobes. The shower is a walk-in power shower.
Outside, there's a small shared garden at the front with a bench. The owners live next door in the other part of the old school. You park in what used to be the playground.
There's a pub in the village, just down the road. It's friendly. You can walk there.
Commondale station is about a fifteen minute walk away. The Esk Valley train goes from Middlesbrough to Whitby. It doesn't run all the time, but it's a nice way to get to Whitby without the car. You can also get it to Grosmont to catch the North York Moors Railway steam train.
It's walking country, really. Lots of trails right from the door. You can drive to the coast in under half an hour. Places like Staithes, Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay. All good for a day out.
One dog is welcome. A lot of the pubs and cafes round here are fine with dogs.
Facilities: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking. You can book the other apartments here if you need more room for a bigger group.
