The Byre
This is The Byre. It's part of a conversion of some old farm buildings we did on our place here near Westerdale. It's detached, all on one level, so no stairs inside.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One of those bathrooms is a wet room on the ground floor. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable. There's a wood burner in the living room. The ceilings are a normal height throughout.
Outside, you've got your own patio and garden area. It looks straight out over the dale. There's parking right outside. We've also put in an electric vehicle charger.
The place is in the North York Moors National Park. You can walk straight from the door. The nearest shop and pub are in Castleton, about a mile and a half away.
Whitby is about a 20 minute drive. The coast that way, Robin Hood's Bay and all that, is good. You're also not far from the moorland roads like the one to Rosedale. For a bigger day out, you can get to places like Goathland or Helmsley within half an hour.
Facilities wise: it has Wi-Fi, a washing machine, a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. We allow up to three well-behaved dogs.
