The Hayloft is up at Red House Farm in Glaisdale. It's the barn conversion on the right as you drive up. It's a studio for two people.
The room is all one space, so the double bed is in the same area as the sofa and kitchen. It works fine but there's no separate bedroom. The bathroom has a shower. It's got a wood burner which makes it really cosy in the winter.
You get your own patio bit outside. There's a shared games room with a snooker table in another barn on the farm. They've also got an indoor pool, a gym and a steam room you can use, but that's £35 per person for the week and you pay that here. It's not included.
The place is right in the valley so the main thing is the view. You look straight out over the fields. It's very quiet. There are chickens wandering about and cows in the next field.
For a shop you've got the village one about five minutes walk away. The pub is a bit further, maybe a fifteen minute walk. Both are fine.
Location wise, you're right in the North York Moors. You can walk straight from the door onto the moors. Whitby is about eight miles away, so twenty minutes in the car. The North York Moors Railway steam trains from Grosmont are close too. Goathland, which is the Heartbeat village, is nearby. The coast at Robin Hood's Bay is about a half hour drive.
Inside, it's got what you'd need: WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher, bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. No pets.
