The Cart House is in Westerdale, up in the North York Moors. It's a barn conversion, ground floor. It was a granary originally, a couple of hundred years old. The inside is open plan, with a proper kitchen area and the living space. The floors are solid oak. There's a wet room shower.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's all on the level, with wide doors and low worktops, so it's wheelchair accessible. There's an electric vehicle charger on site.
You get your own patio garden, with a barbecue. It looks out over the fields. It's very quiet here. The owners live in the farmhouse across the yard, which is much older, from the 12th century.
You're right in the North York Moors National Park. You can start walking straight from the door. Castleton village is about a mile away. They've got a shop and a pub there. For a bigger shop, you'd go to Whitby.
Whitby is about a 20 minute drive. You go over the moors to get there. It's a proper fishing port with the abbey and everything. The coast is all within half an hour. Robin Hood's Bay is good. Sandsend is nice.
Inside, it's got a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
