The Cart House is here in Westerdale, in the North York Moors. It's a ground floor flat in a converted barn. We're across the yard from our farmhouse, which is much older.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one wet room bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's all on the ground floor and set up to be accessible, with wide doors, a walk-in shower with a seat, and lower worktops in the kitchen. There's parking right outside and an EV charger if you need it.
It's open plan inside. The ceiling is high with some old beams. The floor is solid oak. It's a spacious room. There's underfloor heating, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and satellite TV. WiFi's included. All bedding and towels are provided.
You've got your own little patio garden with a BBQ. There's bike storage if you bring them. We accept up to two dogs.
The location is quiet. You can walk straight out from the door onto the moors. Castleton village is about a mile away for a shop and a bank. The nearest pub and restaurant are about a mile and a half.
For days out, Whitby is a scenic half hour drive. The coast is good from there, Robin Hood's Bay is a bit further. Goathland is close, that's the Heartbeat village. The North York Moors Railway runs from there. The whole area is good for walking.
