Maddy Cart House

So, Maddy Cart House. It's a studio, but they've kept the old name. It's out near Castleton, just inside the North York Moors. It's part of the farmyard around Maddy House Farm and the land sort of falls away behind it. The best thing is the view straight out over the fields towards the moors. There aren't any other properties looking in.

It's all on the ground floor. One room for sleeping and living, then a separate wet room with a walk-in shower. Because it's a converted barn, the ceiling is quite high and has those old beams.

It's got a 3 Star rating. It means it's clean and has everything you need. There's a TV, parking right outside, and your own little patio area.

The farm has its own games room in another building with a pool table. You can use that.

As for location: the local shop and pub are about a mile down the lane in Castleton. They're fine. The best part is walking straight from the door. You can get up onto the moors in no time.

If you drive, you're in a good spot. Whitby and the coast is about 35 minutes. Robin Hood's Bay is similar. Staithes and Runswick Bay are a bit further. For a big day out, places like Scarborough, or Castle Howard are within an hour.

It's wheelchair friendly. There are no steps at the door, the wet room is adapted, and there's plenty of room to move around inside.

One dog is welcome. The whole property is detached, so there's no one on the other side of a wall.
