Crow's Nest
Crow's Nest is in Cowbar. That's the bit just above Staithes. The lane is quiet and the view is out over the village and the sea.
It's about 150 years old. It's attached to the next cottage but you can't hear a thing through the walls. It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, not luxurious.
The main thing is the view. You get it from the living room and one of the bedrooms. It's properly panoramic. The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you bring a dog. You get one parking space right next to it.
Staithes itself is a two minute walk down the hill. It's all cobbled streets and old fishing cottages. There are a few pubs that do food, a couple of places for tea, and a chip shop. The beach is about five minutes on foot.
For a day out, Whitby is a 20 minute drive. Robin Hood's Bay is about 15 minutes the other way. The North York Moors are right there if you want to go walking. The Cleveland Way runs along the coast.
Inside, there's a wood burner, a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. We include bedding. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring one dog.
