Crow's Nest is in Cowbar, just above Staithes. It's a 150 year old cottage joined to the one next door. You get the garden to yourselves and there's a parking space right next to it.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, which means it's clean and comfortable but not luxurious. The rooms feel quite spacious. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings.
The main thing is the view. You look straight out over the roof tops of Staithes and the sea. It's a proper panorama.
You're on a quiet lane but the village centre is only a couple of minutes' walk down the hill. The path is steep in places, it's a proper Yorkshire coastal village. The pubs, cafes and the little beach are all right there.
For walks, you can pick up the Cleveland Way coastal path. Runswick Bay is about a mile and a half along the coast. Whitby is a 20 minute drive for the Abbey and the harbour. The North York Moors are on your doorstep if you want to head inland.
The cottage has WiFi, a washing machine, TV, and a cot and highchair if needed. Bedding is included. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
