The Lady De Seton is part of Seaton Hall, on the edge of Staithes. It's a cottage in a historic building. The main thing is the living area, which is a big open space with high beams and a wood burning stove. It feels a bit grand, but in a old stone and timber way.
It sleeps four. There's a double bedroom with a shower room on the ground floor. Upstairs, under the eaves, there's a twin bedroom and the main bathroom. The stairs are a typical cottage staircase, so they're a bit steep and winding.
You've got a private patio area with furniture. There's parking right there. Inside, there's a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and WiFi. All the bedding and towels are provided.
The village of Staithes is about a ten minute walk down the hill. It's a proper old fishing village with narrow streets. There's a shop, a few pubs, and cafes. There's also a restaurant about a hundred yards from the cottage gate.
For getting out, you're right on the Cleveland Way for coastal walks. Whitby is a twenty minute drive, with the abbey and the old town. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway is easy to get to from Grosmont. Robin Hood's Bay is about half an hour south. Saltburn, with its pier and surf, is roughly twenty minutes north.
