St Hildas Rest

St Hildas Rest is in the village of Hinderwell, near Staithes. It's one of a few converted barns on a small development. You can park right outside.

It sleeps ten people. Five bedrooms, three bathrooms. One bedroom and a wet room are on the ground floor. That could be useful if stairs are a problem. The stairs themselves are fine.

It's a four star place. It was all redone a few years ago so it feels fresh. The main living area is open plan, with the kitchen at one end. It's well equipped. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included.

You can have up to two dogs. We provide a cot and a highchair if you need them.

Outside the front door is a small courtyard with a table. For the hot tub, you use a separate private garden just a short walk from the cottage. It's got the tub, some more garden furniture, and a barbecue. It's fenced.

The village of Hinderwell is a five minute walk. There's a pub, a butcher, and a small shop. Staithes is about a mile away down the hill. It's a proper old fishing village, good for a wander and a pint.

Whitby is about nine miles. You've got the Abbey, the harbour, fish and chips, the usual. The coast path is all along there. The North York Moors are right behind you. For a day out, the North York Moors National Park site has walking routes and events. The steam railway runs from Pickering to Whitby through some of it.
