Vale Head Apartment
This is Vale Head Apartment. It's in Whitby, overlooking the marina. It's a modern block, lift served, with its own parking bay. That's handy in Whitby.
The place sleeps seven. It's got two bedrooms and one bathroom. One room is a standard double. The other is unusual: a double bunk bed with a single bed on top. It works for a family. There's also a sofa bed in the living area.
It's a 4 Star place, so it's well kept and comfortable. The main thing is the view from the living room. Big windows look right out over the marina. You can watch boats come and go. Sometimes you'll see the heritage steam train across the water.
Inside, it's all on one level. Open plan living area with a kitchen, dining table, and a large corner sofa. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them.
You can bring one dog. There's a small play area on site for children, and you can go crabbing on the riverbank.
Whitby itself is about a five minute walk. You've got the harbour, the beach, the abbey, and all the shops and cafes. The North York Moors National Park starts just outside town. For a good day out, National Trust Yorkshire Coast has walking information. The steam railway runs from Whitby into the moors.
That's about it. If you're looking for a straightforward base with a good view and parking, this does the job.
