Chapel Cottage
This is Chapel Cottage. It's in Fylingthorpe, a small village right by Robin Hood's Bay in North Yorkshire. The cottage was built in the 1700s and was part of the old Methodist chapel. It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom.
The place has a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. The stairs are steep and narrow, which is typical for a cottage this old.
You're right in the middle of the village. There's a pub about a minute's walk away. It does food and has a garden with a play area. There's also a village shop just around the corner for basics. You can walk down into Robin Hood's Bay from here. It takes about 20 minutes on foot. It's a proper old fishing village with cobbled streets going down to the beach. Good for rock pools when the tide's out.
Inside, the living room has a dining table and a gas stove in the fireplace. The kitchen is separate with a range oven. The main bedroom has a TV and an old fireplace that's just decorative now. The second bedroom has a single bed. There's also a sofa bed in the living room if you need an extra spot. The bathroom is downstairs.
Out the back is a private, enclosed garden. It's got a lawn and a patio. We accept up to two dogs. The garden is secure.
Things included: bedding, towels, WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine, cot, highchair, stairgate. Parking is on the street, usually right outside.
For things to do, Whitby is about 15 minutes by car. Scarborough is about 30 minutes south. The North York Moors National Park is right on the doorstep for walking. The Cleveland Way coastal path goes through Robin Hood's Bay. Useful sites for planning are North York Moors and National Trust Yorkshire.
