Rudda Farm Cottage
Rudda Farm Cottage is near Staintondale. It's a semi-detached cottage on a working farm. You get the place to yourselves.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both ensuite. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable. There's a woodburning stove, which is nice in the evening.
The garden is enclosed at the front, which is good for dogs. There's a small patio out the back with a table. The view from there is the best thing. It's just fields and sky.
You're about halfway between Whitby and Scarborough. It's quiet here. The farm track leads straight onto walking paths into the North York Moors National Park. You can cycle from the door. There's bike storage.
The coast is about a mile and a half. Robin Hood's Bay is a ten minute drive south. It's all steep lanes and old houses. Ravenscar is closer. You can walk down to see the seals on the beach below.
Whitby is twenty minutes north. It's got the abbey, the harbour, and all the usual seaside things. Scarborough is about the same south. It's more of a traditional resort. The open air theatre is good if there's something on.
For a bigger day out, York is just over an hour's drive. Flamingo Land theme park is about forty minutes.
Facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring two dogs. There's a pub that serves food about a mile away.
