Swallow's Folly is a cottage converted from an old stone farm building on Lind Head. It's for two people. One bedroom, one shower room. It has a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean but not lavish.
The layout is a bit different. You come into the kitchen and the bedroom is on the ground floor. The living room is upstairs. It has good views from there because it's up a level. The swallows nest by the front door in summer, which is where the name comes from.
On site, there's a shared swimming pool that's kept warm. There's also a sauna you can book for a small extra cost. Outside the pool building there's a barbecue area with picnic benches. There's a games room too, with a pool table and table tennis.
You're a couple of miles from Cloughton village. It has two pubs that do food. The coast is close. Hayburn Wyke is a short drive away, it's a woodland walk down to a rocky beach with a waterfall. The Cleveland Way and the Cinder Track walking routes are nearby, leading towards Robin Hood's Bay and Whitby.
You're on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. Dalby Forest is about a 30 minute drive for cycling and walking trails.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, WiFi, TV, and parking. The garden is enclosed. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
