Yerborough Cottage is one of the cottages at Scalby Lodge. The Lodge is up on the cliffs, just outside Scalby, which is a village about two miles north of Scarborough centre.
The cottage itself sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up nicely inside, it's not a basic box. Open plan living area downstairs. There's a wood burning stove for colder nights.
Outside, you get your own enclosed garden with a patio and a BBQ. Parking is on site. There's also an electric vehicle charger if you need it.
You can bring one dog. We provide bedding and towels. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, a cot and a highchair.
Being on the clifftop, you've got direct access to the Cleveland Way path straight from the estate. It's good walking. For the beach, you'll want to drive into Scarborough. North Bay and South Bay are both sandy.
Scarborough has the usual seaside things, shops, restaurants, a castle. The Open Air Theatre is there if there's a show on. The RSPB site at Bempton Cliffs is about half an hour's drive up the coast, if you like seabirds.
Further out, Whitby is roughly 30 minutes by car. That's where you can get the North York Moors steam train. York is just over an hour away.
