Sea Dog Cottage

Sea Dog Cottage is in Scarborough town centre, about a five minute walk from the main beach. It's an end-of-terrace cottage.

It sleeps up to four. There are three bedrooms, all doubles, and one bathroom. The bathroom has both a bath and a separate shower. It's got a 3 Star rating, so everything you need is there and it's clean, but it's not a luxury finish.

The living and dining area is on the ground floor. It's a snug space, so while there are three beds, it's really best for four people or a smaller group. The kitchen leads out to a shared courtyard. There's a table and chairs out there if you get the sun.

The property is over three floors. The stairs are typical for a cottage: they're a bit steep and twisty.

You're a very short walk from the beach on South Bay. From there you can walk along the prom all the way to North Bay. Both are big sandy beaches. The castle, the seafront funfair, and Peasholm Park are all close by. The park has a lake with boats and some nice gardens.

Scarborough is known for its theatres. The Stephen Joseph Theatre often has plays on, and there's an open-air theatre on the cliff that does big concerts in the summer.

The Alpamare waterpark is about a 15 minute drive away. It has slides, a wave pool, and outdoor heated pools. For a day out further afield, the North York Moors are about half an hour's drive. The coast road towards Whitby is very good.

Facilities: WiFi, TV, washing machine, bedding and towels are all included. There's a highchair and a stairgate if you need them. The entrance is step-free, but the interior has stairs. You can bring up to two dogs.
