Low Hall Barn is in West Ayton, a village in the North York Moors. It's a converted barn. From the outside it looks pretty ordinary, but inside it's been completely done up. It's a one-off. They've used a lot of reclaimed wood and antique bits and pieces. Every room is different.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Two of the beds are zip-and-link, so you can have them as super kings or twins. The master bathroom is green with gold taps. There's also a family bathroom with a bath and a shower.
Downstairs is open plan: kitchen, dining area, living room. There's a wood burner. Doors open from the living room onto a small patio, then across a quiet track to your own enclosed paddock. It's not a massive garden, but it's private and you get the sun. You can sit out there.
The village has a shop, a garage, and a couple of pubs that do food. Thornton-le-Dale is very close, it's that pretty one with the stream and the little shops. Pickering is about three miles away for supermarkets and the North York Moors Railway station.
For walking, Dalby Forest is right on the doorstep. It's good for bikes too. The coast is about 15 minutes in the car. Scarborough for the beach, Whitby for the history and fish and chips. Robin Hood's Bay is a bit further.
Facilities: it's got everything. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, parking for a couple of cars. There's an electric vehicle charger. Dogs are welcome, up to three. All bedding and towels are included.
