Willow Cottage
Willow Cottage is over here in Flixton, which is a small village just inland from the coast. It's a single-storey barn conversion, attached to our place. It's all on one level, which is handy. There's underfloor heating throughout, which works really well.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means everything is new and in good order. The main living area is entirely open plan, so it's good for everyone being together. There's a lot of light from the big Velux windows.
Outside, there's an enclosed garden that's just for you. The hot tub is out there, so you'll want to bring something to slip on for going to and from it.
The local pub is about 300 yards down the road. They do food. The nearest shop is a few miles away in Staxton, so you'll want to drive for a proper shop. There's parking here for a couple of cars.
For getting out, you've got options. The Yorkshire Wolds start just south of the village. Good walking country. Filey and Scarborough are about a 20 minute drive if you want the beach. The North York Moors National Park is about half an hour's drive.
York is under an hour away by car. That's the main draw for a lot of people. The Minster, the Shambles, all of that.
Inside, you've got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. We take up to two dogs.
We also own Reed Cottage next door. The two can be booked together if you're a bigger group.
