It's called Rhodes. It's in Gristhorpe, which is about three miles south of Filey. You're in one of a group of cottages around a shared lawn, but you've got your own garden too. It's quiet here.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It has a 3 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and clean, not new or high-end. That's fine. Everything works.
Facilities: there's a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi. Bedding is included. There's parking. A travel cot and highchair are in the cottage if you need them. There's a games room and play area for kids, which the other guests share.
Filey is the main town. It's a proper old-fashioned seaside place with a long sandy beach. The beach is good. The Brigg is the rocky headland, if you like exploring rock pools or watching birds.
The local pub is about a mile away, in Staxton. It serves food. The nearest shop is back in Filey, so about three miles.
For days out, Scarborough is about fifteen minutes south. Whitby is maybe half an hour north, up the coast. The North York Moors are right there for walking. The National Trust has sites along the coast too.
