The Gatehouse
The Gatehouse is one of four cottages here. They're built into the old Victorian waterworks. It's detached and has its own enclosed lawned garden out the back. There's also a shared garden with a play area for kids.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean but not fancy. The bathroom has a shower over the bath and a seat in it, if that's useful.
You're between Cayton village and Cayton Bay. The beach is less than a mile's walk. Scarborough is a couple of miles up the coast. There's a shop, a pub, and a restaurant about half a mile away in Cayton.
The clifftop walks are right here. They're part of the Cleveland Way. For birds, the RSPB Bempton Cliffs reserve is about a 20-minute drive. You can see puffins and other seabirds there.
Filey and Bridlington are within half an hour's drive. York is about an hour away by car, or you can get the train from Scarborough.
Inside, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking on site. You can bring up to two dogs. We also have a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them.
