Lobster Pot Cottage

Lobster Pot Cottage is in Scarborough's Old Town. It's one of the old fisherman's cottages. It's been done up, so it's in good shape inside. It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and a bathroom.

The stairs are steep. They're the original cottage stairs. You need to watch your step.

It says wheelchair accessible entrance on the list, and it is flat to get in the front door. But inside it's all stairs, so it's only suitable for someone who can manage steps.

There's a small bit of terrace out the back with a table and chairs. It's enclosed, which is handy if you've got dogs. You're allowed two.

You're really close to everything here. It's a couple of minutes walk to get to either South Bay or North Bay beach. The Marine Drive is good for a flat walk along the front. There's a shop about five minutes away, and a pub even closer. The indoor market is worth a look for food.

For a day out, you've got the Sealife Centre, Peasholm Park, and the Alpamare waterpark all nearby. Dalby Forest is about half an hour's drive inland if you want to go biking or walking. North York Moors National Park is a similar distance.

Up the coast, Whitby is about twenty minutes by car. The RSPB Bempton Cliffs reserve is a bit further, maybe forty minutes. That's where you see the seabirds, like puffins.

Facilities: it's got a washing machine, WiFi, a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is on street, you usually find a space close by.
