Lobster Pot Cottage is in Scarborough's Old Town. It's an old fisherman's cottage, one of a row. You can see the sea from the front door.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. We've updated it, so it's comfortable. The stairs are typical for a cottage like this, so they're a bit steep and narrow.
At the back there's a small terrace with a table and chairs. It's enclosed, so it's fine for dogs. You get the morning sun out there.
You're a few minutes walk from everything. The South Bay beach is about five minutes one way, the North Bay beach about ten minutes the other. The Marine Drive is good for a long walk along the front. There's a shop about 500 yards away and a pub around the corner.
It's a proper seaside town. The beaches have all the usual stuff, donkeys and arcades. The Sealife Centre is close. Peasholm Park is nice. The Alpamare waterpark has outdoor heated pools and slides.
For a day out, Whitby is about 40 minutes down the coast. The North York Moors National Park is about half an hour's drive. Filey and Flamborough Head are in that direction too. If you like birdwatching, RSPB Bempton Cliffs is worth a visit.
In terms of what's here: there's a washing machine, WiFi, a TV, a cot and highchair if needed. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's on-street parking outside, which is usually fine but can get busy in summer.
