Tweedmouth Cottage
Tweedmouth Cottage is on Scalby Lodge, which is near Scarborough. It’s a bungalow, so everything is on one floor. That’s good if you don't want stairs.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which is handy. It’s a 4 Star property, so it’s comfortable and well-finished.
The kitchen and living area are open plan. There’s a wood burning stove. Outside there’s a garden and a barbecue, and the parking is right there. It takes one well-behaved dog.
The cottage is on the clifftop. You can walk straight out onto the Cleveland Way, which is good for coastal walks. The path down to Scalby Ness is about a ten minute walk. For a longer walk, you can follow the coast into Scarborough itself.
Scalby village has a couple of pubs and shops. It’s about a fifteen minute walk. Scarborough is two miles away. You’ve got the two bays, the castle, and the Open Air Theatre. For a proper day out, Whitby is about a half hour drive north. The North York Moors Railway starts from there. The North York Moors National Park is on your doorstep too.
For facilities, it’s all there: washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a cot and highchair if you need them. They’ve also put in an electric vehicle charger.
