Vincent House is in Scarborough, on the main road into town from the north. It's a tall Victorian townhouse that sleeps twelve. Six bedrooms over three floors, two bathrooms. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean, not luxurious.
The place is big. High ceilings, tall windows. On the ground floor there's a lounge at the front, then glass doors you can open right up into the dining room. It works for a big group. The kitchen has a double oven and a big hob, so you can cook for everyone.
Bedrooms are spread out. Two on the first floor, three on the second, and one on the top floor. It's a mix of kingsize, double, and single beds. The stairs are typical for an old house, so they're a bit steep.
You're right on the edge of the town centre. Cafes, pubs, and shops are literally steps away. Both the North and South beaches are less than ten minutes walk. The North Bay is quieter, goes from the castle to the Sea Life Centre. The South Bay has all the classic seaside stuff, the pier, amusements, fish and chips.
You can walk to the castle headland for the views. The open-air theatre and the Alpamare water park are close by if that's your thing. For walking, the Cleveland Way coastal path is right there, and the North York Moors National Park is about a 30 minute drive inland.
You can drive south to Filey, Flamborough Head, and Bridlington. North to Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay. The RSPB sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs is about half an hour away, good for seeing puffins. York is about an hour's drive if you fancy a day trip.
Facilities: Wifi, dishwasher, bedding and towels included. There's a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs. Some bits of both beaches are dog friendly, and a lot of local pubs let them in.
