Chestnut
Chestnut is one of six cottages in a courtyard at our place in Killerby. We live on site. It's fairly quiet out here, a couple of miles from the coast.
The cottage sleeps six but there are only two bedrooms. They're set up for six people, so it's a full house. One bathroom with a shower. It's a 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The garden bit is yours to use.
There's an indoor heated swimming pool on the estate that all the guests can use. It's handy if the weather's not great. Four of the cottages have their own hot tubs, but Chestnut isn't one of them. Just so you know.
You're about a mile from Cayton Bay beach. The village of Cayton is a short walk, maybe ten minutes. It's got a couple of pubs and a shop.
Scarborough is ten minutes in the car. Filey is about the same. Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay are maybe forty minutes, depending on traffic. York is an hour's drive down the A64.
If you like walking, the Cleveland Way is right there on the coast. For a day out, you've got the North Yorkshire Moors Railway in Pickering, or Dalby Forest for mountain biking. Castle Howard is about forty minutes away.
Inside, there's a dishwasher, Wi-Fi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and highchair if you need them. There's parking right outside.
