Chestnut is in Killerby, North Yorkshire. It's part of a group of six cottages in a courtyard around the old hall. We live on site. The cottage sleeps six.
There are two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable. It has a patio area with furniture out the front, but it's not entirely private as it faces the courtyard. You can use the indoor heated swimming pool.
The village of Cayton is a few minutes' walk. There's a shop and a couple of pubs there. The coast at Cayton Bay is about two miles away. It's a good beach for walking and surfing, less busy than the main resorts.
Filey is a few miles south. It's quieter, with a nice promenade. Scarborough is a bit further, about four miles north. That's where you'll find more shops, the arcades, and the Stephen Joseph Theatre. The North York Moors Railway starts at Pickering, about a half hour drive inland. Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay are both within half an hour's drive too.
For facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a TV, dishwasher, and a shower. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. There's bicycle storage. No pets.
