The Low Lodge is one of two cottages here, they're called The Follies. It's a single storey place, so everything's on the ground floor. That's good if you don't want stairs. It sleeps two, one bedroom, one bathroom.
It's detached, so you're not sharing any walls. There's a patio area for you, and you're welcome to walk around the three quarters of an acre of grounds. It's all very natural, lots of rabbits and birds about. The building looks a bit like a ruin from the outside, which is the point. It's Grade II listed. The stone came from Filey Brigg.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right there.
You can bring one dog. There's a stairgate fitted, though you won't need it much in a single-storey lodge, but it's there if you have a toddler with you.
Location wise, Hunmanby village has shops and a couple of pubs within walking distance. Filey's about three miles away, a nice old-fashioned seaside town with a long beach. Scarborough and Bridlington are a short drive up or down the coast.
For days out, the RSPB reserve at Bempton Cliffs is close by if you like seabirds. York is about an hour's drive inland. There's a local golf course, and fishing if that's your thing.
