Hirst House is in Gristhorpe, near Filey. It's part of a small group of cottages with a shared lawn out the front. You get your own patio and garden area though.
It sleeps four, two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. Everything works, it's clean and comfortable. It's all on one floor, which is handy.
The facilities are straightforward. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding is included. There's parking right outside.
There's a pub about a mile away. The nearest shop is a few miles, so you'll want to drive. For a bigger shop, Filey is three miles.
The beach at Filey is good. It's a long, sandy beach. Filey Brigg is the rocky headland at the end. The town itself is a proper old-fashioned seaside place.
There's a games room and a kids' play area on site, shared with the other cottages. They've got a highchair if you need one. No pets, sorry.
If you want to explore, the North York Moors are right there for walking. Scarborough is about twenty minutes south by car. For a day out, the National Railway Museum in York is under an hour's drive. Whitby, with the abbey and the harbour, is about forty minutes north.
