West House Farm is in Muston village, near Filey. It's a detached farmhouse, Grade II listed, built in 1745. We've done it up but kept a lot of the original features.
It sleeps ten people. Five bedrooms, five bathrooms. It's a 4 Star property, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. The stairs are in the original part of the house. They're steep and narrow in places. There's a stairgate at the top.
The old farmyard is now an enclosed courtyard with a patio. It's a good spot for sitting out when the weather's fine. You can park on site.
The local pub is about fifty yards away, just around the corner. They do food. The village shop is a mile and a half away in Filey.
Filey beach is about two and a half miles from the house. It's a long, sandy beach, good for families. The town has shops, restaurants, and a bank.
You're on the Yorkshire Wolds Way here. The trail starts right in the village if you want to walk.
Bempton Cliffs RSPB reserve is a short drive up the coast. You can see puffins and other seabirds on the cliffs there.
Scarborough, Bridlington, and Whitby are all within about half an hour's drive. York is about an hour away by car.
The house has a wood burning stove, dishwasher, washing machine, Wi-Fi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
