Dotterel Cottage

Dotterel Cottage is on the outskirts of Reighton village. It's a detached brick building. Sleeps six, but two of those are on a sofa bed in the living room. There are two proper bedrooms, one double and one twin, and one bathroom.

It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, not luxury. The living area is open plan, with the kitchen and dining space all in one room. Patio doors open out to a pebbled courtyard that's enclosed. It gets the sun.

There's a washing machine, a TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can park on site. One well-behaved dog is allowed.

The on-site pub, the Dotterel Arms, does food and is a two-minute walk. Reighton Sands beach is a short drive away. It's a good, sandy beach.

Filey is about ten minutes by car. It's a proper seaside town with shops and a long beach. Bridlington is in one direction, Scarborough in the other. Both are within a 30-minute drive.

For walks, the coastal path is right there. The RSPB reserve at Bempton Cliffs is close for watching seabirds. Further inland, you've got the Yorkshire Wolds and the North York Moors National Park for more walking or cycling.
