Puffin Cottage is in Buckton. It's a semi-detached barn conversion, one of three cottages around the old farmyard. It sleeps two people.
There's one bedroom with a kingsize bed and an en-suite shower room. It's got exposed beams and a chalk stone wall. You get your own patio area. It's sheltered and gets the sun.
It's quiet here. The main thing is you can walk to the RSPB Bempton Cliffs. It's a good walk, or about five minutes in the car. You'll see puffins, gannets, all sorts. It's worth looking at the RSPB Bempton Cliffs site for times and events.
The coast is close. Flamborough Head is nearby for clifftop walks. For a bigger beach, Bridlington, Filey, and Scarborough are a short drive away.
It's a good spot for cycling. The Yorkshire Wolds route is right here. I've put in a proper bike store with a repair and wash area, with some basic tools.
For days out, Dalby Forest and the North York Moors are within half an hour. The North York Moors National Park website is useful. Burton Agnes Hall and Sledmere House are also close. York is about an hour's drive.
In the village, there's a local pub, The White Horse. There's also a post office and a shop about half a mile away.
Facilities: there's parking, an electric vehicle charger, WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
If you're a bigger group, the cottage can be booked with the other two barns here.
