Puffin Cottage is a barn conversion in Buckton. It's one of three cottages around an old farmyard, so each one has its own patio. They get the sun and they're sheltered from the wind.
It sleeps two people. One bedroom with a kingsize bed, and an ensuite shower room. There are some oak beams and an exposed chalk wall. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's comfortable and well-kept.
The village is quiet. You're about half a mile from a pub, a shop, and a cafe. For something bigger, Bridlington is a ten-minute drive away.
The main reason you'd come here is the cliffs. You can walk to the RSPB Bempton Cliffs from the cottage, or it's a five-minute drive. That's where all the seabirds are, including the puffins. Flamborough Head is close by too, for good walks.
If you're a cyclist, the Yorkshire Wolds route is right here. There's a proper bike store with a wash area and tools.
Scarborough and Filey are about twenty minutes by car. For a day out, The North York Moors and Dalby Forest are within half an hour. The historic city of York is about an hour's drive.
As for facilities: there's parking, an electric vehicle charger, wifi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
If you're coming with a bigger group, you can book this cottage together with the other two here.
