Sycamore Lodge is a detached lodge. It's on the Bridlington Links golf course, just outside Sewerby. The golf club has a restaurant and a gym. There are woods around the course where deer come out.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have their own en-suite shower room, which is handy. There's also a sofa bed in the living area if you need it. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The place is all on one level and the doorways are wide, which is good if you're bringing a wheelchair. There's a patio with a table and chairs. Inside it's open plan, so it feels quite spacious. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine.
You're a few minutes' walk from the cliff top path. The beach is down there too, but it's a steep path and mostly pebbles. Sewerby Hall is right next door. You can walk in through the gardens. They've got a cafe, a small zoo, and a playground. It's run by the council, so it's a decent day out.
Bridlington is a short drive away. It's got a harbour, two beaches, and all the usual seaside things. For a proper sandy beach, that's the North Beach. Flamborough village and the lighthouse are about ten minutes north. You can see the seals from the cliffs there sometimes.
For a walk, Danes Dyke is close by. It's a wooded valley cut down to the sea. Bempton Cliffs are a fifteen-minute drive. That's an RSPB reserve where you can see puffins and gannets on the cliffs.
You can get to Hull, Beverley, or Scarborough in under an hour. York is about an hour's drive. For big days out, you’ve got Flamingo Land or the Sea Life Centre in Scarborough.
Facilities: bedding and towels are included. There's a cot available. One well-behaved dog is welcome. Parking is right outside. WiFi is included.
