Westways is in Bridlington, on a quiet residential street. It's a detached bungalow, so everything's on one level. Good for pushchairs or if you don't like stairs.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom and a separate toilet. It’s got a 4 Star rating, which means it’s comfortable and well kept. You can bring one dog.
Out the front there's a private lawn. At the back, you've got your own parking space and a locked storage shed. I keep some deck chairs and beach gear in there. You can use it for bikes or anything else you've brought.
The living space is open plan. The kitchen is separate, but it's small. It has what you need, but it's not a big cook's kitchen. Just so you know.
It's about a 15 minute walk to the seafront and the beach. There's a shop, a few takeaways, and a pub that does food, all within a few minutes' walk.
Bridlington itself has the promenade, the harbour, and two long beaches. The Spa puts on shows if that's your thing. Boat trips go from the harbour, sometimes for bird watching. There's a good pitch and putt course at Sewerby, and a full golf course if you want a proper round.
For walking, the coast path is right there. Danes Dyke and Flamborough Head are beautiful. The RSPB Bempton Cliffs reserve is about a 20 minute drive. You can see gannets and puffins there.
Other places within half an hour include Sewerby Hall, Burton Agnes Hall, and Sledmere House. Scarborough is about a 30 minute drive. York and Hull are both under an hour if you fancy a day trip.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, a TV, bedding and towels are included, and I can provide a cot and highchair. Parking is on site.
