This is Swift Cottage in Sewerby. It's an end-of-terrace cottage right next to Sewerby Hall. You've got your own little sitting-out area at the back.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean but not luxury. The stairs are quite steep, just so you know.
You're basically in the grounds of Sewerby Hall. There's a big grassy area out front where kids play. The Hall itself has gardens, a small zoo, a café, and a land train that goes along the clifftops to Bridlington. It's a nice walk back.
The beach is about a three-minute walk. Bridlington's a proper seaside town with a sandy beach, harbour, and the usual stuff. There's a pub about 100 yards away and a shop a bit further.
If you drive north for about ten minutes, you get to Bempton Cliffs. It's an RSPB site where you can see puffins and other seabirds on the cliffs. Flamborough Head is just past that. Filey and Scarborough are along the coast within half an hour. York is about an hour's drive if you fancy a city day.
Inside, there's a washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car on site. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
For planning days out, these sites are useful: RSPB Bempton Cliffs, National Trust Yorkshire, and Welcome to Yorkshire.
