Granary Cottage
Granary Cottage is on our farm in Bempton. It's detached. You get your own garden and it's properly enclosed, which is good if you've got dogs.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's not huge, but it's comfortable. Everything is on one floor, so it's suitable if steps are a problem. The main living space is open plan.
There's a multi-fuel stove. It heats the place well. We supply a bit of fuel to get you started. The hot tub is in the back garden. It's there for you to use.
The farm is a sheep farm. You'll see us going about our work. There are footpaths from the property straight out into the fields. You'll often see deer, especially early morning or at dusk.
Bempton Cliffs are about a mile away. It's an RSPB reserve. The seabird colonies are something else, especially in spring and summer. Puffins, gannets, the lot. It's a proper spectacle.
Bridlington is ten minutes in the car. It's a traditional seaside town. A big sandy beach, a harbour, the usual amusements. Filey and Scarborough are about twenty minutes north. Both have more of the same: beaches, shops, fish and chips. Scarborough has the Sea Life centre.
For a change from the coast, the North York Moors National Park is within half an hour's drive. Good for walking.
In terms of what's here: there's a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. Parking is right outside.
There's a shop and a pub in the village, about half a mile away. They're both fine. The pub does food.
