Belgian Cottage
Belgian Cottage is on our working farm just outside Bridlington. It's 3 Star, which means it's clean and comfortable but not luxurious. It sleeps two people. One bedroom, one bathroom.
The cottage is one of six converted from old farm buildings. They're all named after horse breeds. Ours is open plan downstairs, with the kitchen, living and dining area all in one room. The stairs are quite steep, typical for an old building. You can bring one dog.
There's a farm shop and café here on site. They sell our produce and do breakfasts and lunches. We've also got a petting area with animals for children. Out the front there's a shared one-acre field and a playground.
You're about a mile from the coast. Sewerby Hall is just around the corner. It's a Georgian house with gardens overlooking the sea. You can get a land train from there into Bridlington town centre and walk back along the cliff tops. Bridlington has two big beaches and a working harbour.
Flamborough Head and Filey are about a fifteen minute drive north. Scarborough is maybe half an hour. To the south, you've got Hornsea and Hull. The RSPB sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs is very close. You can see puffins and other seabirds on the cliffs there.
Further inland, Burton Agnes Hall and Sledmere House are both stately homes within a twenty minute drive. The North York Moors and the Yorkshire Wolds are both easy to get to for walking.
Facilities include a washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We provide a cot and highchair if you need them. There's parking right outside the cottage.
