The Light House is in Flamborough. It's a bungalow, so everything's on one level. That's good for getting about, but do note it's near the coast and the path down to the beach is steep. Not ideal for anyone unsteady.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well looked after. The place is bright, as you'd expect from the name. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included.
The garden is enclosed, which is handy. There's parking on the drive. The property is wheelchair accessible at the entrance, but the internal doors and bathroom might be tight for some chairs, so please check the access statement if that's important for you.
Flamborough is quieter than Bridlington or Scarborough. There's a shop, a couple of pubs that do food, and a fish and chip shop, all about a mile away. The coast path is right there for walks. You're about a mile from the beach itself, but it's a proper cliff path down.
If you like birds, the RSPB Bempton Cliffs reserve is very close. You can see puffins in season. Bridlington is a short drive south for a more traditional seaside day. Scarborough is north, about half an hour by car.
For a bigger day out, York is under an hour's drive. It's a good wet-weather option. There are stately homes nearby like Burton Agnes Hall if that's your thing.
Useful links for planning: Yorkshire Dales National Park and North York Moors National Park. Both are within reach for a drive.
No pets allowed, I'm afraid.
