Meadow View

Meadow View is a bungalow on the edge of Easton, a few miles outside Bridlington. It’s got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well equipped. It sleeps three, smaller than a lot of places round here, so it's good for a couple or a small family. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. No pets, sorry.

The bungalow is all on one level, except for one step into the lounge. It’s open plan at the back, with doors out to the garden. The garden isn't huge but it's private, with a patio and a lawn.

Inside, there’s a TV, WiFi, and a dishwasher. All bedding and towels are included. We leave a cot and a highchair in one of the bedrooms. There’s parking right by the front door.

You’re in the countryside here. The views from the back are over fields. It’s quiet. The nearest shop is about two miles away in a village. For a supermarket, you’d go into Bridlington, which is three miles.

Bridlington’s the main thing nearby. It's a proper seaside town. There’s a long sandy beach, a working harbour, and a promenade. You can watch the boats come in. The leisure centre is there if you want a swim. The Spa theatre gets some good acts.

Up the coast, Flamborough Head is about ten minutes by car. The cliffs are dramatic. The RSPB site at Bempton Cliffs is there, famous for its seabird colonies. You can see puffins in season. Further along, Filey and Scarborough are both within half an hour. Scarborough has the castle and two bays.

Inland, the Yorkshire Wolds are on your doorstep. It’s gentle, rolling countryside, good for walking. The Wolds Way national trail runs through it. The medieval city of York is less than an hour’s drive if you fancy a day trip.
