Oakwood
Oakwood is a detached bungalow in Sewerby, on the East Yorkshire coast. It sleeps eight in four bedrooms, and has two bathrooms. Everything is on one level, which is handy.
The house is right by Sewerby Hall. You can see it from the front. It's a Georgian house with big gardens and a small zoo. There's a cricket pitch between us and the hall, so you can watch a match from the garden sometimes. The garden is enclosed. We take two dogs.
You're a five minute walk from the cliff top. Turn right for Bridlington along the path, or left for Danes Dyke nature reserve. There's a land train to Bridlington in summer if you don't fancy the walk. The nearest pub is about 500 yards away.
Bridlington is a proper seaside town with a harbour. Flamborough Head is a short drive north. The RSPB reserve at Bempton Cliffs is there, which is good for puffins and gannets. Further up the coast, Scarborough, Filey and Whitby are all within about forty minutes by car.
Inland, you've got the North York Moors National Park for driving or walking. Burton Agnes Hall and Sledmere House are both big local manor houses to visit. York and Hull are both about an hour's drive if you want a city day.
The house has a 4 Star rating. It's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking for a couple of cars on the drive. Bedding and towels are included. We provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them.
