Oakwood

Oakwood is a bungalow in Sewerby, right by the coast. It's detached, so it's on its own. It sleeps eight people in four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well equipped and comfortable.

The main thing is the location. You're basically on the edge of the grounds of Sewerby Hall. You can see the hall from here. It's a five minute walk to the cliff path. You can turn left and walk along to Bridlington, or right into Danes Dyke nature reserve. The land train from Bridlington stops nearby in summer if you don't fancy the walk back.

The property is all on one level, which is useful. There's a paved patio area and an enclosed garden. You can park on the driveway. It's pet friendly, up to two dogs.

Inside, it's got what you'd need: a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and a highchair if you're bringing little ones.

For things to do, Sewerby Hall itself has the gardens and a small zoo. The village pub is about five minutes walk away. Bridlington is the proper seaside town, with the harbour and a beach. Further along the coast, Flamborough Head and Bempton Cliffs are worth a trip, especially for the seabirds. RSPB Bempton Cliffs has all the details.

You can drive to Beverley, which is a nice market town, in about half an hour. York is under an hour away by car or train from Bridlington station. The North York Moors aren't far if you want a day out in the countryside. North York Moors National Park is a good place to look for walks.

That's about it. It's a solid, spacious place in a very good spot if you want to be by the sea.
