Puffin Cottage
Puffin Cottage is in Buckton, on the East Yorkshire coast. It's a terraced cottage, built in the 1800s, so it's a bit crooked. That means low ceilings and uneven floors in places. The stairs are steep. It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-kept but it's still an old cottage.
The garden is enclosed, which is good for dogs and kids. There's a lawn, a seating area, and a rockery.
You're about a ten minute drive from Flamborough. The RSPB sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs is very close. That's where the puffins are, and all the other seabirds. The cliff top walks there are spectacular.
In the village, there's a shop and a pub about a quarter of a mile away. The pub does food. Bridlington is about four miles for a proper beach. Filey and Scarborough are within half an hour's drive.
For a day out, York is about an hour away by car. You can get the train from Bempton station too.
Inside, there's a woodburning stove, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Wi-Fi, TV, all that. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. You can bring one well-behaved dog. There's parking on site.
