Doodles At Brid is a lodge on the Bridlington Links Holiday Park in Sewerby, East Yorkshire. It’s not right on the coast, but you get a view of the sea from some parts of the park.
The lodge sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. One double with an ensuite shower room, and a twin. It’s a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and has what you need. The living area is open plan and leads onto a deck. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you have a dog.
Yes, dogs are welcome. Up to two. The place is named after my own dog.
The lodge is in a sort of sunny dip, surrounded by woods. You’ll often see deer around the site. There’s a clubhouse on site that does meals and has a terrace. There’s also an 18-hole golf course, a driving range, and a gym. You pay for those locally.
The village of Sewerby is a short walk away. There’s a pub that does food and a fish and chip shop. The park backs onto Sewerby Hall, which has good gardens and puts on events.
Bridlington itself is about a mile. You can walk along the clifftop path from Sewerby to get there, or drive it in a few minutes. It’s a classic seaside town with a big sandy beach, shops, and places to eat.
For other days out, Burton Agnes Hall and Sledmere House are both about half an hour’s drive inland. The North York Moors National Park is also within a 30-minute drive if you want proper walking.
Facilities at the lodge: it’s all on one level. There’s a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There’s parking right outside.
