Hill Rise is on the edge of Flamborough village. It's a semi-detached house. The main thing you'll notice is the view from the front, you can see right over the fields to the sea in the distance.
It sleeps five people. There are two double bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. One bathroom is downstairs, it's a wet room. The other is upstairs and has a bath. The stairs are standard, nothing unusual.
The living room has a big bay window so it's really bright. There's a gas fire for cooler evenings. The kitchen has a gas hob and an electric oven. You can get out to the back garden through doors in the dining room.
The garden is enclosed, which is good if you've got kids. There's a patio with seating and a lawn. You can park two cars off the road at the front.
It's about a five minute walk into the village centre. There are a few shops, tea rooms, and three pubs that do food. The local nature reserve, Danes Dyke, is just along the road. It's a wooded walk down to a sandy beach.
The cliffs north of the village have one of the biggest sea bird colonies in the country. South Landing is good for walking too. If you come in May, you can see the puffins.
Within about half an hour you can drive to Burton Agnes Hall or Burton Constable Hall. Filey and Scarborough are along the coast. The North York Moors National Park is about 45 minutes away. York and Beverley are within an hour's drive.
Facilities are pretty standard: there's a dishwasher, a washing machine, wifi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. No pets allowed.
For planning trips, the RSPB Yorkshire site is useful for the local reserves, and National Trust Yorkshire covers some of the bigger properties nearby.
